How we can help your teen
When asked about sleep, most parents want to find ways to help their child fall and return to sleep without their help. But where do you start? Mostly, it starts with Google, asking family, friends, the family GP, the teacher, and the local pharmacist. All can offer help but is it the right help and what happens when the solution only works for a short time?
That’s when fixing sleep can seem like an impossible hurdle to jump over and sleep deprivation can go on for years and even into adulthood.
There is a better way. Get in touch today to see how Nigh Nigh can help you and your teen.

Got Questions?
My doctor prescribed Melatonin for my teenage daughter. She has trouble falling asleep and is often awake until 1 or 2 am. She is struggling to get up for school.
Melatonin is a hormone and must be used precisely otherwise it can cause later bedtimes and less sleep. You most likely see your teen sleeping in late when given the opportunity. Sometimes we use Melatonin as an effective short-term measure in conjunction with other therapies to realign the sleep schedule to more socially acceptable times.Â
I am really worried about my teenager. She is awake half the night and misses school. She sleeps in too late, stays in her room, and is always in a bad mood. Can you help?
Lack of sleep increases the risk of depression. We know many parents blame technology but often that isn't the root cause of sleep problems. Our teen therapies can have your teen asleep before midnight and up awake and ready for the start of the day in less than TWO weeks.
We think screens and social media are to blame for our teenager's bad attitudes and sleep issues. We argue about it all the time but he refuses to see a problem. We are desperate!
It’s a common belief that screens are fully to blame but teens have had sleep issues for decades and long before screens were ‘a thing’. The fact is many kids use screens to occupy time when they cannot get to sleep but sometimes genetic makeup doesn't help. We help your teen identify the root causes and our solutions lead to more sleep and less screen time and more social activity. It’s a win-win for everyone!
My teen is about to learn to drive but looks half asleep. Should I be worried?
Yes! Sleep deprivation is equivalent to driving drunk. Lack of sleep leads to poor decision-making and concentration and you really want your learner driver to be fully alert. Sleepy teens take risks and poor judgment can be life-changing for your family or someone else. Would you let your teen drive sleepy?
